Three girls farmers died even as greater have been injured after a truck allegedly rammed into them on Thursday morning in Haryana’s Jhajjar district. Police stated the girls were a part of farmers’ protests and have been looking forward to an autorickshaw to go back to their local village in Mansa, Punjab while the incident took place. The sufferers were identified as Amarjeet Kaur, Gurmail Kaur and Harsinder Kaur.
According to the police, the incident came about around 6 am while a collection of at least seven ladies farmers have been sitting on an average and expecting an autorickshaw to visit the railway station.
Waseem Akram, superintendent of police, Jhajjar, stated, “A tipper, sporting dust, rammed into the organization of girls farmers. Two of them died at the spot. The injured have been rushed to the civil health facility and mentioned PGI Rohtak for treatment. One of the injured died at the manner to the medical institution in Rohtak, even as ladies are pronounced to be out of danger.”
Two different girls who sustained accidents had been recognized as Gurmel Kaur and Harmeet Kaur. All hailed from village Dialuwala, block Bhikhi, Mansa district, stated police. The truck motive force deserted the truck and escaped from the spot. He is to be arrested, stated police.
Satwant Singh, member of Bharatiya Kisan Union, Ugrahan, stated, “The girls have been returning to their village Punjab as a part of rotation. They have been a part of farmers’ protests. It is suspected that the accused tipper driving force fell asleep on the wheel.” Farmers were sitting at the borders of Delhi for the beyond eleven months as a part of their agitation towards the 3 contentious farm laws.
