Here are 5 things we learned from the unveiling of the Mahindra's new logo
Mahindra has unveiled a new logo and the upcoming XUV700 will be the carmaker’s first SUV to sport this logo. For the Indian automaker, however, the change is much more important than simply replacing the beacon on the front of the SUV. Here are 5 things we learned from the unveiling of the carmaker’s new logo:
1) Mahindra Outlets Will Receive A Makeover By 2022
1,300 contacts in 832 cities in Mahindra will change over the next year to reflect the brand's new identity. Mahindra did not fully disclose the extent of the change, but the automaker also plans to move away from the red and white color scheme. The new color palette uses charcoal as the main color, and gray and red for the accent.
2) Current Mahindra Vehicles Will Also Get The New Logo
The XUV700 will be the first Mahindra to feature a new logo. However, the automaker announced that the vehicles currently in its range will also receive a new logo, albeit gradually. This is evident from the brand's movie and the XUV300 and Thar contained in it.
3) Commercial Vehicles And Farm Equipment Will Continue To Use Old Logo
Mahindra Commercial Vehicles and Agricultural Equipment will continue to use the old Road Ahead logo. This was done in order to provide a new premium image for Mahindra vehicles, creating a clear gap between the personal mobility sector and other Mahindra business units.
4) Mahindra Will Focus On Offering AWD Vehicles
Mahindra has always strived to offer cars that can travel less, but other automakers recently refused to offer 4WD or AWD in the Rs 10-20 segment due to price increases. However, Mahindra stresses that he wants his car to be everywhere in the brand's films, and this is obvious since the upcoming XUV700 and Scorpio will have 4WD / AWD capability.
5) Mahindra Establishes Itself As A Premium Player
The changes have been postponed for a while. It all started with the XUV500 10 years ago, and like Marazzo, the new XUV300 and Thar are promoting it. However, the XUV700 is here to reinforce these new changes and make Mahindra a leading player in the market. The new logo and store update go hand in hand with Mahindra's new goals.
Bonus Point - XUV700 Will Get A Striking Blue Shade
The hint was very subtle, but we managed to catch it. The new Mahindra logo in the brand film can be seen on a variety of natural backgrounds. On one of these backgrounds, the XUV700 can be seen in the reflection of the logo and appears to be embellished with something similar to a royal blue hue. The shade is different from what we have seen on the Mahindra cars and I would like to take a closer look.
