74 death, owing to oxygen crisis, at Goa's biggest COVID Hospital
74 COVID patients died in the state's most extensive COVID facility in the past four days. All complained due to an oxygen crunch.
In Goa Medical College and Hospital, 13 people died on Friday between 2 am and 6 am. Fifteen died on Thursday, 20 people died on Wednesday, 26 people lost their lives on Tuesday.
The chief minister said the gap between the availability and supply of medical oxygen caused the distress.
"It is an earnest request we should be given 22 MT per day, in place of 11 MT, for at least a week to make up for the shortfall," the BJP government of the state wrote to the center.
The court has asked the hospital and state authorities to make a report by 7 pm today and asked to include the accounts of oxygen supply, availability of tanks, concentrators, and drivers.
