Maharashtra has cancelled first and second level of relaxations in unlocking, although activities had resumed normally in the past few days.
After Delta plus variant cases are reported in Maharashtra, the state government decided to bring back some Covid-19 restrictions. there will be three level of restrictions, Instead of five level unlock, which the government announced earlier.
Maharashtra announced five levels of unlocking plans ,ending the month-long lockdown, In the first week of june. Number of cases is decreasing rapidly, but the government wants to unlock the state in five stages for controlling cases than before. But there will be no district with complete relaxation, said by the government.
The Delta variant of Covid-19 has another mutation as Delta plus, found in India. The first sample of Delta plus mutation was taken from Maharashtra. The Covid-19 task force of Maharashtra government has also warned that the Delta plus might be the cause of third wave of covid Maharashtra state due to unlocking.
Rajesh tope, health minister of Maharashtra said that, though the Covid-19 cases in the state are reducing gradually but the cases are not under 8000,which is concerning, he said.
