Apple's M1X Mac Mini
Last year, Apple introduced its new Mac Mini, which is powered by the company's own Apple Mi1 chipset. Apple M1X, the successor to the M1 chipset, is said to be in the works at the Cupertino-based tech giant.According to reports, Apple is also working on a new Mac Mini that will be powered by the future M1X processor. According to the newest information, the device could be released in the following months.
The new information comes from Mark Gurman's Power On newsletter, and it contradicts a recent rumour that stated Apple had postponed the launch of the M1X-powered Mac Mini until next year for "marketing reasons."Apple has yet to unveil the M1X chipset, but based on what is known thus far, the chipset is said to be a more advanced version of the M1. It will power additional Mac devices, including the future MacBook Pro models, in addition to the Mac Mini.Apple is likely to rebuild the Mac Mini and include additional connectors, such as a magnetic power port.
According to reports, the gadget would be aimed at power users and will have a "plexiglass" top.According to a recent estimate, the Mac Mini with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD could start at $1,299.The M1X Mac Mini will be more expensive than the existing M1-powered Mac Mini due to the enhanced specs and intended clientele. As a result, even if a newer model is released, the present model will remain available, providing a cost-effective choice for regular customers.
