Visual Presentation of Vaccination
Kianush Jahanpur, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry of Iran, said on Sunday that people of Iran are traveling to the neighboring place Armenia to get vaccinated against Covid-19 is not considered as a sign of Armenia's strength. It has been reported in recent days that the Iranians move to the borders to take flights just to reach the vaccination point in Armenia.
It is said that Iranians have lost hope that the government of Iran would get the resources for vaccination in the states. But Jahanpur states against the criticism that the government of Iran works really hard to handle the pandemic. And he also stated that the people in Armenia refused to get vaccinated due to its expiration dates, and decided just to allow tourists.
He states that this is not a sign of strength but a sign of weakness. While it is reported that Iran has only provided 4 million doses of vaccine for 84 million population in the country and failed to provide a sufficient supply of vaccines.
Ali Khamenei, the Supreme leader banned the purchase of American and British vaccines in January, promising for the vaccine to be prepared in their country. Till now there is no sign of any local vaccines for people in Iran and Iran is suffering a lot with the new strain of covid-19 delta variant with a high number of cases and infections in hospitals.
