Cryptocurrency prices: In the previous 24 hours, top cryptocurrencies have traded lower, with daily drops ranging from 4% to 14%. Bitcoin fell more than 4% to close at over $35,200, while Ethereum fell 6.56 percent to $2291.
Dogecoin was also trading lower, down 5.64 percent at $0.30. XRP, Cardano, Stellar, and LiteCoin are among the digital currencies that have experienced a 10% drop.
XRP fell 5.64 percent to $0.81, according to CoinDesk, while Cardano fell 9.30 percent to $1.38. Litecoin dropped 8.46% to $156.04, while Stellar slid nearly 8% to $0.30.
Bitcoin Cash and Ethereum Classic both fell 6.42 percent and 7.10 percent, respectively.
Bitcoin has been highly turbulent this week, according to Zebpay, a cryptocurrency exchange. The currency, which is the most valuable in terms of market capitalization, dropped from $39,000 to $31,000 before rebounding and now trading above $35,000.
On the other side, Ethereum has been stuck in a tight range. The second most valuable digital currency has been fluctuating between $2,350 and $2,600 this week and is now trading at $2,295.
The exchange said in its report, "In the second half of the week, an upward trend has set in, in the markets. Altcoins also faced a similar trend, first witnessing falls, before showing signs of recovery, with BNB paving the way forward".
Several governments are debating how to regulate cryptocurrency.
China restricted financial institutions and payment businesses from providing services connected to cryptocurrency transactions earlier this month and advised investors against speculative cryptocurrency trading.
