BJP MP Gautam Gambhir Alleges to Receive Death Threats from ISIS Kashmir
Gautam Gambhir, Bharatiya Janata Party MP from East Delhi Constituency and former Indian team cricketer claims to have received threats to him and his family from ISIS branch of Kashmir.
DCP, central, Shweta Chauhan reported to the Delhi Police about the complaints launched by Gambhir.
She further claims that they have started the investigation. High level security has been assigned to duty outside Gambhir's residence.
The complaint reports the receipt of an email from ISIS Kashmir to the official id of Gautam Gambhir on November 23 around 9 o'clock at night.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Shweta Chauhan, who is in charge of handling the case of civil security, further comments that the mail received, was read by IANS and claims to persecute Gambhir and his entire family.
A link can be found with the issue of the former cricket, now turned MP being vocal about the ongoing terrorism and human dangers perisisting in Kashmir.
Similar reports were launched in December 2019 by Gambhir to have received death threats to him and his family members from an international number. He had then also persuaded the police officials to lodge a case and ensure the well-being of his family.
