BJP leader Babul Supriyo
Former trade union minister and BJP leader Babul Suprio said on Saturday that he had decided to retire from politics and resign from his seat in parliament. He pointed out that the decision was partly related to the loss of a ministerial post and disagreements with the BJP government.
Supriyo, who has held multiple portfolios as MOS under Narendra Modi's government since 2014, was ousted earlier this month in a major cabinet reshuffle.
“I'm coming, Alvida. I spoke to my parents, wife and friends, listened to their advice and said that I would go. I will not go to TMC, Congress, CPIM or any other political party. I did of course, no one called me.
" Iam going nowhere. I am a one-team player! Have always supported one team #MohunBagan - Have been with only one party - BJP West Bengal. That's it!! Leaving,"Supriyo posted in facebook.
