Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) introduced UFill automated fuel technology to provide its customers with a better sales experience. The technology eliminates the need to display zero or full readings and such manual offline interventions, the company said in a statement.

Described as fast, secure and smart, UFill has been deployed in 65 cities and will be rolled out nationwide soon.

UFill functionality requires no app download and is independent of the payment app. The customer can use any payment application already downloaded on their mobile phone, such as GPay, PayTM, PhonePe, etc. It provides real-time QRs and discount codes via SMS and is accepted at all BPCL service stations where the feature is enabled.

The BPCL also stipulated that if the prepaid amount were partially used, the remaining amount would be immediately transferred to the customer's bank account. If the prepaid money is not used within 48 hours, it will be automatically refunded to the bank account from which it was debited.
The technology gives the customer control over refueling and a contactless prepaid solution. where the unit of measurement is automatically set to the value of prepaid fuel and no manual intervention is required at the point of sale.
The dosing unit automatically doses the exact amount of fuel, so there is no need to check the zero point before refueling or during the last measurement. It is also effective across the entire chain of stakeholders, from business leaders to end users, suppliers, managers and aisle suppliers (DSM).

UFill aims to improve Customer Turnaround Time (TAT) at the gas station and increase transaction transparency to provide an enhanced shopping experience. No need to wait for making payment, once you fill. With BPCL’s UFill prepaid code, just drive out," BPCL said on Twitter.
