Top BJP leaders discuss preparations for assembly polls in 5 states
The assembly election poll is dued today, 7th November for BJP with its key base at Uttar Pradesh. The national executive for the central Party will reconsider party strategies while discussing and reviewing the results of the pre-held assembly and Lok Sabha by-poll results.
The ongoing farmer's protest against the three farm laws has suffered the Party through setbacks in Punjab, Haryana and west UP. Though assembly elections require discussions on state politics, price list, inter party cohesion, restrategising is essential after such a grave loss in Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Bengal elections. The BJP is rejoicing in the victory of second position in Ellenabad, even after farmer protest demonstrations , and hence a change in national outlook will be suggested. Some BJP members have a view of not confiding to confrontation in spite of repeated agitations by farmers, for the face of elections.
The meeting will be presided by President, Jagat Prakash Nadda. The brainstorming session on assembly elections will follow therefore. Former BJP Presidents like Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah and Nitin Gadkhari are called upon for such restructuring discussions. BJP officials, and commerce minister, Piyush Goyal and finance minister, Nirmala Sitharam are called upon to attend the meeting. Owing to the maintenance of COVID protocols, all national executives are not called up physically. All CMs and deputy CMs of BJP ruled states, all BJP state unit presidents, and senior leaders from different states who are a part of the national executive are made to attend the meeting virtually. PM Narendra Modi will conclude the meeting with his speech.
Discussions will be targeted to render party programmes more inclusive for the larger and diverse sections of the country. A political resolution for the national party will also programmed by Ravi Shankar Prasad. Exhibitions will be put on display, on Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan and Gareeb Kalyan Anna Yojna.
