The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), will be conducting its first term board examinations for classes 10 and 12 in the offline mode during November and December.
New Delhi: The board has released date sheets for the upcoming first term examinations for the classes 10th and 12th and the students are required to be physically present to give the examinations. The examinations of the class 10th board are going to begin on 30th of November and are going to end on 11th of December, whereas the examinations of class 12th are going to begin from 1st of December and will end on 22nd of December.
The board even went on to declare that the upcoming 1st term examinations will be based on objective-type questions and the duration of the examinations will be of 90 minutes. The scheduled timings for the beginning of the examinations are from 11:30 A.M. due to the winter season, and the second term examinations will take place in March-April in 2022. The examinations of the minor subjects for classes 10 and 12 are about to begin on the 16th and 17th of November.
According to the date sheets provided by the board it is mentioned that the first exam will be of sociology which is going to take place on the 1st of December, followed by English core on December 3, mathematics on December 6, physical education on December 7, business studies on December 8, geography on December 9 and Physics on December 10. Psychology exam will be held on December 11, accountancy on December 13, chemistry on December 14, economics on December 15, Hindi core and elective on December 16, political science on December 17, biology on December 18, history on
December 20, informatics practices and computer science on December 21, and home science on December 22.
Furthermore, the controller of the CBSE examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj mentioned that as soon as the first term examinations are over, the results will be declared, and no student will be placed in the pass section. Moreover, the final results are going to be declared once both the first and the second term examinations are over. He further went on to add that, “Practical exams or internal assessment will be completed in schools before the first-term exams are over. The marks allotted will be 50% of the total marks and mentioned in the syllabus.
The schools will be informed separately about the full scheme so that they can make the necessary preparations”. As all the major subjects are offered by all the affiliated schools, hence the examinations for this subject will be conducted as per the fixed date sheet as it was done earlier. The CBSE will prepare groups of the schools who are offering this subject and for this reason, more than one paper could take place during the school days as mentioned by the boards.
