CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan Says that the schools will not be opened until the end of the third wave or there are even possibilities that the opening of schools can be canceled. The school education minister Inder Singh Parmar and parents went through a verbal spat on the increase of fees in private schools. The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan thus announced that there will be no rise in fees in private schools all over the state.
The Chief Minister also said that no extra fee will be collected from the parents. He also stated that only the tuition fees have to be paid for the academic year. He discussed the fee management in a meeting of the crisis management committee on Monday. He continued that no schools will be opened until the third wave of covid ends as there are possibilities for the third wave to be nullified.
He also instructed the collectors of each district to ensure that no school collects extra fees than necessary. If found in violation of this instruction, action will be taken against the institution. This happened because parents have raised their voices against the rise of fees by the private schools. Based on this the High court has passed orders only to collect tuition fees and no extra charges should be collected.
If any schools or institutions raise the fees despite the law they will be closed immediately. The schools will remain closed for the safety of students and classes will be conducted in online mode.
