The union health minister has released a set of guidelines as to detect the
characteristics of the virus in children. Children are always under the look out of parents,
therefore parents are worried about not detecting any symptoms in their children even after
being tested positive. COVID19 symptoms in children are mild, and often go undetected in early
stages. Which is a raising concern in parents.
Health ministry has asked parents to have a continuous look out for their kids.
Parents are advised not to take any mild fever, cough, breathlessness, fatigue, myalgia,
rhinorrhoea, sore throat, diarrhoea, loss of smell, loss of taste lightly, children do normally
complain about these issues but as the pandemic is taking a bad shape no health complaints
are to be taken lightly. Few might have gastrointestinal issues. A new syndrome called
multi-inflammatory syndrome has been observed in kids which causes vomiting, diarrhoea,
abdominal pain, fever, rashes, cardiovascular and neurological problems.
The ministry said if a child is tested positive and has no symptoms, they need to
be constantly tracked because earlier the symptoms are detected earlier will be the treatment.
Mosty in these cases children develop mild symptoms such as sore throat, cough, rhinorrhoea
with no breathing trouble, experts say they can stay back home with necessary measures and
under health advice.
