On Tuesday, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (Aiims) in New Delhi will begin screening children aged 6 to 12 years for Bharat Biotech's Covaxin clinical trials. “The selection process for the clinical trial of Covaxin among children in the age group of 6-12 years will begin from Tuesday,” Dr. Sanjay Rai, professor at the Centre for Community Medicine at Aiims Delhi, told news agency PTI on Monday.
The selection process for clinical trials in children aged 12 to 18 years is now complete, and children in this age range have received a single dosage of the vaccine. Aiims New Delhi will commence trials for children aged 2 to 6 years after the recruitment of children aged 6 to 12 years is completed.
