On Saturday, August 21, Chitra, also known as Nallennai Chithra, died of a heart attack. She was with her family at her Saligramam home in Chennai when she had a heart attack, according to sources. She was 56 years old at the time. In 1983, she made her adult acting debut in the Malayalam film Aattakalasam, with Mohanlal and Prem Nazir. Her husband Vijayaraghavan and daughter Mahalakshmi survive her.
Chitra, a well-known actress in Malayalam and Tamil cinema, began her career as a kid performer. Panchgani, Aval Appadithan, Auto Raja, Krodham, Chinna Poove Mella Pesu, Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha, Amaram, Nayam Vyakthamakkunnu, and Ekalavyan are just a few of the films in which she has appeared. Following her marriage, she took a vacation from acting in films. With films like Mazhavillu and Soothradharan, Chitra made a comeback to the industry.
