After footballer Cristiano Ronaldo pulled two Coca-Cola soft drink bottles from his press conference, Coca-Cola responded by remarking that "everyone is entitled to their drink preferences." On Monday, the incident occurred during Ronaldo's news conference.
The Portuguese star was not thrilled with the fact that two Coca-Cola bottles were kept in front of him during the UEFA Euro 2020 pre-match news conference. As a result, he positioned the drinks out of view of the camera and urged them to drink water instead. Coca-market Cola's worth lost $4 billion as a result of this gesture, and its stock fell 1.6 percent.
After that, a statement by Coca-Cola spokesperson released which says, "Players are offered water, alongside Coca-Cola and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, on arrival at our press conferences." They added that everyone has different “tastes and needs”.
Coca-Cola stands as one of the official sponsors of Euro 2020s.
