Complete Lockdown in Uttar Pradesh from April 30-May 4.
Amid the rise in the number of cases in the country, UP to impose a complete lockdown from April 30 till 7 am on May 4. The information was given by the ANI agency through the tweet, "Lockdown in the state will now remain imposed from Friday evenings to 7 am on Tuesdays. The decision has been taken in the wake of the COVID19 situation," On Wednesday, the state has recorded the highest number of cases, with 266 people died of the disease, and 29,824 cases were tested positive in the state.
The state has 3,00,041 active cases of Covid-19, according to the health ministry of the state.
Earlier, this week the state was imposing a weekend lockdown apart from imposing the night curfew.
The Supreme Court stayed the order of Allahabad High Court to impose the restrictions in five cities of the state.
Yogi-Adityanath also put some suggestions during the virtual meeting on Monday that the retired doctors and Paramedical staff can be put on duty as there is less manpower in hospitals. "Many of those who had emerged victorious in the battle against COVID-19 are willing to serve the patients. In this context, in order to increase the manpower at hospitals, experiences of retired doctors, lab technicians, and paramedical staff along with retired personnel of the armed forces can be availed."
