The Congress working committee today with one accord decided to postpone its party president
election until the second wave of covid-19 comes under control. The elections to be held for the
new party presidents have been founded up to June end most probably the elections are to be
held on 23rd June according to the proposed date by madhusudan mistry, member of the
central election authority. This came after a meeting of all the Congress leaders were held and
they decided that it would not be appropriate to hold the election in this trying time. Ashok
Gehlot the chief minister of Rajasthan said that no election should be held for this post due to
Hindi pandemic and some other members of the party second him. "CWC, therefore,
unanimously resolved to defer the elections temporarily in the midst of these
challenging times," read the resolution.
