Council of ministers meets to discuss the situation arising due to the second wave of COVID-19.
Today the Council of Ministers attended a meeting to discuss the current situation of the pandemic in the country. In the meeting, they noted that we are facing a "once in a century crisis" situation, which is a big challenge for the world.
In the meeting, PM Modi said that the Government is dealing with the situation with unity.
The Prime Minister urged the Ministers to stay in touch with the other people of their regions to get regular updates and get their feedback. He also said that there should be no issue that would remain unidentified by the Government.
The Council of Ministers briefly discussed building more infrastructures containing hospital facilities like hospital beds, PSA oxygen, tackling the matters related to the shortage of medicines and many more. The importance of wearing masks and keeping social distance was also discussed in the meeting. The meeting also noted that India would be able to produce two vaccines, and at present, more than 15 crore vaccines have been produced to date. The meeting was held through video conferencing and was chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
