After the Union Government increased the gap between two doses of vaccine from 12 - 16
weeks, the Karnataka Government also ordered the same in the state. The State
Government asked the recipient, who had already collected their first dose of Covishield
vaccine to receive the other second dose only after the completion of 12 weeks from the
date of vaccination of the first dose.
"This is to inform the citizens of the state that the earlier interval between COVISHIELD
vaccination that was of 6 to 8 weeks is now increased to 12 to 16 weeks", Health
Department of Karnataka tweeted.
