Doctors protest against Baba Ramdev comments on allopathy
On Tuesday doctors across the national capital protested against Baba Ramdev for his controversial comment on allopathy by wearing black ribbons and resident Doctors of several hospitals holding placards.
The resident doctors from AIIMS, Safdarjung hospital, lady Hardinge medical college and hospital and BR Ambedkar hospital protested during their office hours in their PPE kits but did not let the work get hampered in the crucial time of the pandemic.
The federation of resident doctors association (FORDA) head requested the government yesterday for “unconditional open public apology from him (Ramdev) or action against him under the relevant sections of the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897”.
This is a matter of concern for the medical community because according to them the “slanderous remarks” by the Yog guru could “incite violence against the healthcare services personnel and would lead to a total failure of public health systems.”
