Election Commission of India issued the second letter to prohibit the celebration by Political Parties.

Urgent notice has been issued by the Election Commission of India to prohibit the victory celebrations of the political parties. Previously, the Election Commission of India had clearly banned the celebration of the victory of the Political Parties.

Even after the notice was issued, the celebrations took place, due to which the election commission had to issue the second letter. The victory celebrations were banned due to the gathering of people has been prohibited. Election Commission said, "In a view of aforesaid, it is utmost necessary that you direct/guide your party representatives with strictness to stop them to celebrate and show restraint in these challenging times and ask them to behave strictly in accordance with the ECI's instructions and extent instructions on COVID issued by NDMA/SDMA." They also mentioned in the letter, "The commission has already directed CS/DGP concerned to take penal actions including FIR against the violators in all such cases under the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and other relevant laws.".
