During last year, Brazil's President Jair Bolsonaro refused to accept that Amazon was on fire, this time he has declared a ban of 120 days on outdoor fires that are unauthorised as amazon is approaching a season of annual burning and deployment of armed forces to prevent forest fire. The Amazon faces a huge destroying fire every year. The Amazon is also known as "The lungs of the world". The satellite images showed a drastic amount of smoke emerging from Amazon regions.
According to experts, the rainforests are depleting in a fast phase, while nearly 137 insects, animals, and plants die every day. This results in the loss of about 50,000 species per year. These forests have lots of medicinal plants that are on the verge of destruction. Almost 121 medicines are obtained from medicinal plants in Amazon.
This region has a history of human settlements over a long period of time. Evidence collected proved that this place was once the home of large populations. The Famous empires of the Incas and their predecessors, and millions of people lived in Amazon forests. Their descendants face a lot of threats for their survival. The fire in Amazon is a common feature during the annual burning periods. These activities start in early September and end in November, while the rainy season starts in October, and starts to reduce the fires.
It is also noticed that the government tries to cover up the truths of global warming and the rise in temperature in Brazil, contributing to a major catastrophe. If this continues for sure, Amazon's wealth and health would only prevail in History.
