Deputy Chief Minister CN Ashwathnarayan said on Tuesday that the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) would be held on August 28-29. He stated that registration would commence on June 15. The test was supposed to take place on July 7; however, it had to be rescheduled owing to Covid. The Karnataka CET test will take place in over five hundred centres throughout the state on 28, 29, and 30 August, the deputy chief minister said in several tweets.
"He stated by scheduling the dates that, August 28 - Mathematics, Biology. August 29 - Chemicals, physics, and August 30 - Gadinadu and Horanadu Kannadigas Kannada exams will be held." The Deputy CM further stated that for admittance into professional training, only CET marks would be accepted.
"We take the steps necessary for graduate and other courses to be admitted. We assess admittance to CET courses for scientific graduates, "He added.
He further stated, "Due to the postponement of the 2021 annual PUC second year examinations and the surge in COVID-19 cases in the state, Common Entrance Test-2021 has been postponed."
