Flight operations at Delhi airport's Terminal 2 to be suspended from 12 PM.
The flight tasks at Delhi air's Terminal 2 (T2) will be halted from the 12 PM of May 17 (Monday), as indicated by Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL). The choice has been taken because of falling traffic in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, an authority said.
DIAL said the move would help carriers and the air terminal in better administration of their staff during the pandemic.
Every one of the tasks will be moved to Terminal 3 (T3), said DIAL, adding that the two carriers - GoAir and IndiGo - which work from T2 have been approached to move to T3.
The Covid-19 pandemic has hit the avionics area seriously. There has been a critical drop in traveller traffic, particularly after the development of the second influx of the pandemic a month ago.
