Four Awarded Capital Punishment the serial blast at Patna: 2013
The court imposed punishment for nine convicts in the 2013 Patna Gandhi Maidan serial blasts case. The four convicts, among the nine , were given capital punishment , two were given life imprisonment, two got 10 years imprisonment and one gets 7 year jail term The name of the four convicts are Haider Ali, Imtiaz Ansari, Muzibullah Ansari and Noman Ansari . These four are imposed with the death punishment. Azaharuddin Kueresi and Umar Sidiqqi have been given life imprisonment , while Ahmed Hussain and Feroz Aslam were awarded 10 years rigorous imprisonment and Iftikhar Alam has been given 7 year jail.
The blast happened during the Hunkar rally in which Narendra Modi was present . He was chief minister of Gujarat at that time. The impact of the blast was so dangerous that the blast left six people dead and many people injured.
The statement was stated on the same day , when the blast took place, that is on 27 October.
However Fakruddin , was released due to lack of evidence against him. Later on, it was declared that Haider Ali was the mastermind of this blast.
