The government has no choice, but to come forward and accept the accountability and order a free and fair JPC (Joint Parliamentary Committee) that probe into the entire set of facts, evidence and allegations of corruption in the Rafale deal, said the Senior Congress Leader.
The authorities in France are initializing a judicial probe into the allegations of corruption made during the sale of 36 Rafale fighter aircraft to India. The silence of Prime minister Narendra Modi and his government points towards some wrong-doing to hush up the alleged corruption in the deal said the former Defence Minister A K Antony.
Former Defence minister A K Antony also said that the French Public Prosecution Services has now appointed a Judge to investigate the issues of corruption, in the sale of 36 Rafale aircraft’s deal. “The refusal of the BJP Government to probe and punish the guilty is even more astonishing, pointing towards a concerted effort to bury the scam”, said A K Antony.
He also said that without going through any tender process and without permission of the Defence Procurement procedure Modi has purchased 36 Rafale aircraft in 2015 without any announcement.
