Pakistani terrorist arrested in Delhi
Ahead of the holidays, the Delhi Police Special Cell thwarted a major terrorist attack by today arresting a Pakistani man from Laxmi Nagar and stealing an AK-47 rifle from them.According to the police, the suspect was living with a forged ID card of an Indian citizen and had obtained the Indian ID cards through forged documents.
The special cell operation was overseen by Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana. "It is a good catch by a special cell ahead of the festive season. A big terror plan has been foiled by our team," Mr Asthana said.In addition to an AK-47 rifle with an additional magazine and 60 rounds, the police also seized a hand grenade and two pistols with 50 rounds.
The accused, identified as Mohd Asraf, was detained under the relevant provisions of the Prevention of Illegal Activities Law, the Explosives Law, the Weapons Law and other provisions. It was a big part of the sleep cell. Asraf lives in Narowal, in Pakistan's Punjab province. A search was carried out at his current address in Ramesh Park in Laxmi Nagar, Delhi. He was arrested by the police at around 9:20 p.m. Monday.
