India has reported 10,853 Covid cases in the last 24 hours, according to reports submitted to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Sunday. The total death toll now stands at 4,60,791.
The load of active cases is now at the lowest in the last 260 days, accumulating to 1,44,845 cases.
India has been on the uphill since March for gradual combatant to COVID-19 pandemic. There has been a total of 12,432 recoveries in the last 24 hours, accounting for a recovery rate at 98.23, a commendable highest since March 2021.
The speedy change can be witnessed through vaccine drives initiated by the Government. 1,08, 21,66, 365 double vaccines have till now been administered, with 116.58 crore COVID vaccines doses given to states.
As for the state reports, Kerala tops the danger column with 6,545 COVID cases, followed by Tamil Nadu (862 cases and 10 deaths) and Maharashtra at 661. Delhi comes next with 36 fresh cases.
