IGRMS Opens in Bhopal with all the safety guidelines
Due to the pandemic that took its peak in 2021, the government decided to keep IGRMS closed. IGRMS - Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, Bhopal is now set to be opened for the public from today. IGRMS has been closed from 15 of April 2021, will now be opened in July 2021.
Praveen Kumar Mishra, the director of the museum said that " reopening the museum once again is an immensely emotional moment for the entire team", and he also stated that they are ready for a new beginning. The museum will be surveillance with a complete security system. The museum has been prepared for the visitors in such a way that the opening of the museum doesn't cause any spread of covid-19 further.
The museum has been sanitised properly. It is mentioned that visitors will be allowed only after complete thermal screening before entering the museum. It is a must to wear masks for safety and visitors are advised to maintain social distance and follow covid-19 safety guidelines. It is said that the details of the visitors will be registered along with ID proofs. Visitors will not be allowed inside if their current pulse rate and saturation level in oxygen (SpO2) is under 95 percent or temperature above 37 degree Celsius/ 98.6 F.
Only a limited number of visitors will be allowed to visit the museum per day. Tickets should be booked only through online payments using QR codes or using UPIs. Indoor exhibitions and open-air exhibitions of this museum will be opened on Sundays and Monday will be considered a weekly holiday. The museum will be open from Tuesday to Sunday every week from 11 AM to 6.30 PM.
