In Rural pune, child mortality rate falls down by new vaccination programs
In rural areas of Pune, new vaccination programs introduced helped to lower the child mortality rate.
The infant mortality rate has fallen from 388 to 232 in the past five years. The children under 5 years mortality rate also fall down from 480 to 282. According to data given by the Pune district health department, annually the number of child live births is being 60000.
According to records, in the year 2015-2016, deaths 480 are recorded. Later according to the latest records 2019-20 , mortality rate has fallen down to 282 in the same category.
By taking various measures to prevent the mortality rates in rural areas of Pune leads to positive growth. The infant mortality rate had fallen in the last five years, by taking respective measures.
District immunization officer, Dr. Sachin Edake said that they have introduced pentavalent that protects children from five diseases, they are rubella, measles, rotavirus, hepatitis B, and others. In the past five years, these vaccines are administered to children under universal vaccination programs.
Dr. Sachin Edake said that the children mainly affected are under five years. Some of the children are under one year and the child may within 28 days, these children affect more. So by giving vaccines at the right time, we can protect them from mortalities.
By bringing vaccination schemes, these schemes may also benefit from the fall down of malnutrition. It added the benefits.
