On Wednesday, Delhi Police apprehended a judo trainer, known as a Subash, who was involved in killing Sagar Dhankar, a national wrestler at the Chhatrasal Stadium in the national capital last week. This was the 11th time that a wrestler and two-time Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar were arrested in this case, the leading accused.
A piece of official news claimed that Subash has been detained from the national capital by the Delhi Police Crime Branch.
The case concerns Dhankar's death after he was reportedly attacked on the intervening night of 4 and 5 May by Kumar and his friends. Sonu and Amit Kumar, pals of the 23-year-old, were injured during the claimed assault.
On May 23, following the event, Sushil Kumar, who escaped from Delhi, was caught from the outlying region of the city of Mundka alongside Ajay Kumar. A court, which subsequently was prolonged to four more days, condemned him to six-day police detention.
The judicial custody of Kumar was extended until 25 June on 11 June. He is charged with killing, guilty killing, and abduction.
Kumar was declared the "chief culprit and master-intellect" by the Delhi Police, claiming to have highly added proof that he and his colleagues are attacking Dhankar with sticks. This is an apparent allusion to a video in social media that showed Kumar and his crew assaulting a person said to be Dhankar.
The film, alleged by Delhi Police, was filmed to allow Kumar to keep his "fear" between other junior rivals.
