Individuals aware of the development said the CBI initiated investigations from over 40 locations in Uttar Pradesh and a few other states on Monday after registering a new case to evaluate alleged irregularities in the Gomti Riverfront construction process, which was planned to launch by the then Samajwadi Party government in 2015 with Akhilesh Yadav as the chief minister.
