Increase in the Number of Deaths in the State by 45 cases (Getty Images)
It was reported that Odisha has an increase in no.of.deaths with 45 more casualties due to coronavirus in the last few hours on Saturday (03.07.2021). The total death toll rises to 4,154. The highest rate of deaths has been reported by Khordha district followed by Bargarh and Cuttack with five deaths and Dhenkanal with four deaths and Koraput, Sambalpur, Subarnapur, and Sundargarh with three deaths each. While Nayagrah and Puri reported two deaths each and districts namely Angul, Ganjam, Jharsuguda, Kandhamal, Kendrapara and Mayurbhanj reported one death from each district.
It has been noted that almost 2,917 persons were declared covid-19 positive within 24 hours in the States. This led to the increase in the total covid-19 cases rate to 9,19,026.
The cases reported in each districts are given as follows: Nayagarh (96), Angul (86), Kendrapara (79), Dhenkanal (77), Keonjhar (75), Malkangiri (59), Koraput (55), Rayagada (53), Sundargarh (48), Bargarh and Sambalpur each (22), Ganjam and Kalahandi each (21), Boudh and Nabarangpur each (19), Kandhamal (13), Subarnapur (12), Jharsuguda and Nuapada each (8), Balangir (7), Gajapati (6), and Deogarh (5).
It is noted that almost 101 covid cases have been reported in the State within 24 hours. Despite this rapid increase, it is noted that almost 8,84,262 patients have recovered and returned to their homes.
