India-US Development Collaboration in the Indo-Pacific: Guidelines
The Observation Research Foundation is a non-profit organisation that does investigations. Even while India encourages maritime cooperation with individual EU member-states, including France, India and the European Union (EU) have opted to prioritise intelligence sharing through the India-EU Connectivity Partnership.
Meanwhile, containing partners such as Japan, India, and France are identifying opportunities for partnership on similar development goals. Despite the alignment of viewpoints on the centrality of East Africa in the world, the smooth (but highly expected) cooperation here between three nations might eventually involve cooperative development investments in Africa in indo pacific areas.
Furthermore, considering France's regional investments (such as the €2-billion transport contract in Kenya) as part of the effort to change the post-colonial "Françafrique" strategy, as well as the organised "Framework for Japan-India Business Participation in Asia-Africa" among Japan's Exterior Trade Organization and India's Confederation of Indian Industry, a multilateral configuration is already suggested. At about the same time, India and the United States' partnership agenda remains dominated by the security aspect.
Although this earlier declaration of intent to pool experience and capabilities for similar development goals in third states and cultures of mutual understanding, India-US international community has mostly remained restricted to Africa, Afghanistan, and South Asia.
The experience of India-US defence collaboration may be applied to improving bilateral development cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region
