Indian Army sets up 5 ICU beds and 45 Oxygen beds in Assam's Tezpur medical college.
As the second wave hit, cases went up high; the Indian Army, to fight the surge, has set up 5 ICU beds and 45 oxygen beds at Tezpur Medical College.
The Assam chief minister praised the four army men for their commendable work.
What a feat! Grateful to GOC & his team for such commendable work!" Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
"Oxygen beds are fast emerging as our biggest challenge. At our request, 4 Corps HQ at Tezpur has set up 5 ICU and 45 Oxygen beds in Tezpur Medical College in a record time of 3 days," Assam CM said.

The Assam government has also announced that stricter restrictions will be imposed from May 13 till further notice.
The weekly market remains shut for 15 days.
Shops and eateries are allowed till 1 pm, and only home deliveries will be allowed after 1 pm.
