India's trade deficit will fall to $ 22.6 billion in September; Exports increased by 23%
According to the ministry, exports of goods from India rose 22.6 percent year-on-year to $33.79 billion in September.
Meanwhile, the trade deficit reached $22.59 billion in September, up from $2.96 billion in the same month last year, the data shows.
India's total exports (goods and services combined) are estimated at $54.06 billion in September 2021, up 21.44% from the same period last year.
The cumulative value of exports for April-September 2021 was $197.89 billion against $125.62 billion for April-September 2020, representing positive growth of 57.53%.
Meanwhile, exports of non-petroleum products, gemstones and jewelry increased 19% year-on-year to $25.34 billion during the reporting period.
