Association Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar on Saturday blamed Congress pioneer Kamal Nath for "insulting the nation" by alluding to the B.1.617 variant of the Covid as the "Indian variant" and said the resistance has not exclusively been stirring up dread and misgiving, yet in addition, debilitating the battle against the pandemic.
Tending to the media, Javadekar said Congress president Sonia Gandhi should clarify why her gathering is occupied with negative legislative issues and why she has not scrutinized her associate and previous Madhya Pradesh boss priest Kamal Nath's assertion on the variant being Indian.
"He called it the Indian corona. And said Hamari Pechaan, Mera Bharat Covid. This is an insult to India. Many other Congress leaders have also done so. The WHO has already clarified that no country's name has been attributed to any variant," Javadekar said.
