Joshua Kimmich signs new four year contract with Bayern Munich
Bayern star Joshua Kimmich has signed a new four-year contract at the Allianz Arena. Kimmich came to Bayern from RB Leipzig in 2015 as a teenager and has since established himself as one of Germany's best midfielders. The 26 years old had just entered the final two years of his previous contract, but the Bundesliga champions have tied him to new terms that will hold him until at least 2025.
"I have a team with which I can achieve anything, and a lot of my teammates have become real friends. That's why I started playing soccer in the first place: Because it should be fun. "I don't see myself at the end of my development yet and I am convinced that a lot is possible at FC Bayern in the next few years. In addition, my family feels very comfortable here. Munich has become a second home. “Of course I want to win the Champions League again. Other clubs in Europe spend a lot of money, but I still don't see them leaving us behind. With the whole package, I'm in the best of hands here. I hope to spend my best years here and achieve great things."
Kimmich has made 264 appearances in all competitions for Bayern, most recently in Sunday's 3-2 home win over Cologne.
The Germany international also scored 30 goals and 73 assists and helped the club win 17 trophies, including six league titles and the Champions League.
