Corona curfew has been extended in Delhi till June 7, but this time, the government allowed manufacturing and construction industries to run. The decision to extend the lockdown has been taken to decrease the positivity rate and break the virus chain in the state.
This time two industries which are construction and manufacturing, have got freedom from the Delhi Government. From June 1, employees of the given industries will be allowed to work with accurate Covid-19 measures.
The order said that "The situation of Covid-19 in NCT of Delhi has again been reviewed and observed that, though the number of Covid-19 patients and positivity rate is declining, the situation is still precarious, therefore, to contain the spread of the virus and to break the transmission chain further, curfew needs to be extended for another week in the territory of NCT of Delhi, permitting the reopening of certain prohibited activities in a phased manner in areas outside the containment zones for overall well being of the people of NCT of Delhi."
On Saturday, Delhi recorded its lowest number of Covid-19 cases in the last two months, which was 956, and the number of deaths was 122. Delhi recorded 888 cases on March 22, which was the last time when the capital recorded less than 1,000 cases. The total number of documented cases, active cases, and fatalities of Delhi are 14,24,676 and 13,055 and 24,073, respectively.
