A minor fire broke out on a ready plane carrying warship INS Vikramaditya on Saturday. The team on the job saw smoke exuding from a piece of the boat implied for mariners and acted expeditiously to drench it.
No significant harm was done, said commandant Mehul Karnik, the central advertising official of the Indian Navy. The boat is at Karwar Harbor in Karnataka.
All work force on-board have been represented and an investigation into the episode is being requested, Karnik added.
This is the second occurrence of fire on INS Vikramaditya. Prior, in April 2019, a maritime official of the position of Lt Commander passed on during a firefighting procedure on the plane carrying warships when it was entering the Karwar Harbor.
The plane carrying warships finished ocean preliminaries in July 2013 and flying preliminaries in September 2013. On June 14, 2014, INS Vikramaditya was accepted into the Indian Navy.
