Megha Rajagopalan won the Pulitzer Prize with Alison Killing and Christo Buschek for an arrangement uncovering the size of the internment of Uighur Muslims in China's Xinjiang.

Megha Rajagopalan wasn't watching the Pulitzer declaration service since she wasn't hoping to win. Rajagopalan, the worldwide journalist for BuzzFeed News, became more acquainted with her arrangement uncovering China's Uighur Muslims confinement camps won the Pulitzer Prize in the International Reporting class after manager in-boss Mark Schoofs called her.

Rajagopalan won the Pulitzer Prize with givers Alison Killing, an authorized designer, and Christo Buschek, a developer, for an arrangement uncovering the size of the internment of Uighur Muslims in China's Xinjiang region. This was the primary Pulitzer for BuzzFeed News, an advanced news distribution established in 2014.

"Am so appreciative to our group, to @BuzzFeedNews, @alexcampbell and the associations that upheld us. Most I'm appreciative to ex-prisoners who mentioned to us what befell them inside Xinjiang's camps. General society owes a lot to their mental fortitude. Still considerably more work to be done," Megha Rajagopalan likewise tweeted.

Ben Smith, the then BuzzFeed proofreader, reviewed that scene in a tweet. Smith said that after the Chinese government wouldn't restore her visa, he and a senior editorial manager at BuzzFeed met government authorities. "They said we were free to send in a real sense some other journalist — simply not Megha. Who uncovered Uighur camps from an external perspective in, and just won a Pulitzer," Smith, who currently works with the New York Times, composed.
