A five-judge seat of the Calcutta high court will hear today the review request of the four legislators, charged in the 2016 Narada sting activity case, against a stay request on their bail.
The four lawmakers are: Sitting clergymen of Mamata Banerjee-driven West Bengal government, Firhad Hakim and Subrata Mukherjee, Trinamool Congress official Madan Mitra, and previous MLA Sovan Chatterjee.
They were captured by the CBI on May 17. Despite the fact that an exceptional CBI court allowed them an interval bail, the Calcutta high court stayed the bail and sent them to legal guardianship. On May 21, in any case, the HC put them under house capture and established a bigger five seats to hear the bail application.
