No Covid-19 vaccination for the people above 18 years in Mumbai from May 1.
On Thursday, top officials gave the information that the vaccination drive of Phase 3 trials will not start from May 1 in Mumbai due to a shortage of Covid-19 vaccine in
"Vaccination for the new age group will start only after enough vaccines are made available, and not exactly on May 1," tweeted Ashwini Bhide, Additional Municipal
Commissioner in Mumbai's civic body BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation).
She also confronted that all the people aged above 45 would not have to worry much about the vaccine as they would not be deprived of it.
She also requested that the senior citizens and people above age 45 should not stand in queues.
She said though the vaccines in the state are in short supply, we assure you that there will be enough supply in the states.
The vaccination drive for 45+ will continue after the new drive for 18-44 will start.
The vaccination for the 45+ will not stop, and they don't have to compromise.
There is currently a shortage in the state for vaccination as one petitioner filed the complaint in Bombay High Court that he is not getting a date for vaccination till July.
