"Hygiene is a key component of infection prevention, and the village is sanitized every week,"stated the president.

"Gutters were cleaned to maintain hygienic atmosphere, priority was given to clean drinking water supply. Taskforce members kept an eye on the villagers' health and whenever symptoms were seen we took them to hospital and got tested," Radder memtioned.

A huge effort is being made at a time when a large number of cases and related deaths are being reported in villages across the country. Many even complain that they are not given access to appropriate medical facilities or testing centers. The owner of a hotel in Shivalingapp Angadi village admitted that it was closed to the public due to the COVID-19 situation.

Ratnavva Basvaneppa Hubbali from Alapur highlighted that this is the team's efforts to reach a Covid-free village.

She also said that the villagers showed complete cooperation by donning masks and maintaining social distancing while working on the site.

"Some cases were reported in the nearby village of Kadapatti, but none in ours," she stated.

As of Tuesday, 3,709 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Karnataka. At the moment, the total number of confirmed cases in Korea is 2.81,029. During the day, 139 people died, 34,164 people died. Currently, there are up to 1,18592 active cases.
