The process of increasing the prices of petrol and diesel is not taking its name to stop.  Fuel prices have also increased by 35 paise per liter today (Saturday).  With this, the prices of petrol and diesel have reached a new record across the country.

 Indian Petroleum Marketing Companies have increased the price of petrol by 35 paise today (October 16), while the price of diesel has also increased by 35 paise.  Petrol has become costlier by Rs 3.85 only in the month of October, while diesel prices have seen an increase of more than Rs 4.

 According to the latest update released by the public sector oil marketing companies, the price of petrol in Delhi has reached the highest level of Rs 105.49 per liter and in Mumbai it is Rs 111.43 per liter.  At the same time, diesel is now being sold at Rs 102.15 per liter in Mumbai, while the rate of petrol in Delhi is Rs 94.22 per liter.

 The skyrocketing prices of petrol and diesel have made life difficult for the common people.  In the last district of Madhya Pradesh, Balaghat, which is adjacent to the border of Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra, petrol rates have set a new record.  Petrol in Balaghat has reached Rs 116.44 per liter while diesel has reached Rs 105.59 per liter.  The public is also angry with the government due to the continuous increase in oil prices.

Today (16 October) is the third consecutive day of increase in the prices of petrol and diesel by 35 paise per liter.  Petrol prices are already above Rs 100 per liter in most parts of the country, while diesel rates are above Rs 100 per liter in a dozen states including Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Bihar.  liters have been exceeded.  Please note that prices vary between states depending on local taxes and freight.
