Odisha announces new Covid-19 lockdown from May 19 to June 1
The existing curfew ending on 19 Mat, the government of Odisha announced a new lockdown in the entire state, which will start on Wednesday till 5 am on June 1. A complete weekend lockdown will be implemented between 6om on Friday to 5 am on Monday due to coronavirus pandemic.
The new agency shared the Government order; the state government has allowed services such as health services, financial sector, public utilities, and commercial establishment for selling essential goods.
The announcement was made when the state has recorded 10,321 new cases, and the death rises to 22 on Tuesday. The total number of cases in Odisha rises to 633,302, and a total number of deaths 2,357 as to the reports.
In the new lockdown, all health services in the state, such as hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, and telemedicine facilities, would remain functional. Adding to it, the pharmacies and medical shops, including the Jan Aushadhi Kendras, will also be working as usual.
