Over 160 million Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in India
According to the Union Health Ministry, about 16 crores of COVID-19 vacancies have been administered in the country in the last 109 days. At the same time, the US took 111 days, and China took 116 days to reach the same mark.
According to the ministry, 6,71,285 people of 18-44 age group has received the first dose of COVID vaccine across 12 states and union territories. These are Chhattisgarh (1,026), Delhi (82,000), Gujarat (1,61,625), Jammu and Kashmir (10,885), Haryana (99,680), Karnataka (3,840), Maharashtra (1,11,621), Odisha (13,768), Punjab (908), Rajasthan (1,30,071), Tamil Nadu (4,577) and UP (51,284). 16,04,94,188 registrations have been done for the first dose of the COVID vaccine.
Ten states of the country account for 66.86 percent of the vaccine rate. More than 14 lakh of the vaccines have been accounted for in the last 24 hours.
