MP and AIMIM Chief Md Asaduddin Owaisi reacted to an incident on Saturday in the Unnao district of UP. A 17-year-old boy lost his life due to injury after being beaten up by the police for selling vegetables during a lockdown in the state. He said that the ruling UP government had inflicted hatred against Muslims in the form.
"If the boy's name is not Faisal and he is a Hindu with a Hindu name like Vivek Tiwari, then the Yogi Adityanath's government would have apologised to the family and immediately released an ex gratia to the deceased family members." Owaisi said while talking to ANI.
He said that factual evidence shows that almost 56 percent of Uttar Pradesh police believe that Muslims are criminals, without even doing an investigation in the first place.
"I would ask the Modi government to enlighten the nation, why is it that on April 8, 36.5 lakh people were administered Covid vaccine while on May 20 only 13.6 lakh vaccines were administered." Owaisi talked about the shortage of vaccines.
He questioned if exporting vaccines from Serum Institute and Bharat Biotech to foreign countries are still carried out by the Modi Government. If not, then why is there a vaccine shortage in the country.
He said, "Because of Modi's wrong policy, wrong vision and not behaving like a statesman, many states in this country, including Telangana are not having vaccine doses and are putting a halt to the vaccination drive."
